ASSOCIATION MANIFESTO
SACMAF strives to provide support in all areas of the Country Music Industry by acknowledging artists' achievements, artists' support by venues, agents, media, sound engineers, songwriters, Line dancers, and all who contribute to helping Country Music grow in S.A. This acknowledgment includes yearly Awards, Media Awards, and other Special Awards. We also strive to uphold the integrity of Country Music in South Africa, while also acknowledging and supporting Independent artists in other genres.
SACMAF also strives to support new Country singers by assisting them with studio recordings, Industry-related legalities, and other areas in providing a platform to showcase their talents and assist in their growth and development as an independent Artist. We also welcome our FANS of Country Music to join our page.
SACMAF also has Registered members/fans who pay a small monthly fee, enabling us to fulfill our mission and contribute to our community. We also rely on generous sponsorships to assist artists and run the SA CMA.
FOUNDATION
The SA CMA has a second function, namely that of the Community Outreach Program, as well as the Youth Development Program in Music.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
We strive to assist our communities in need of clothing, food, household goods etc. and rely on donations to enable us to do so. We also hold benefit concerts where needed for medical funding or other serious needs requiring funds.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The need for musical development under our youth to ensure the continuation of skilled musicians and vocalists is extremely important. To develop these skills requires funding and we hope to be able to acquire the necessary funds through donations and sponsorships. There will be total transparency of any funds received for this purpose and updates on the progression of the candidate.
The SACMAF Awards were first introduced in South Africa in 2018. It was also the first National and International award in S. A. The need and purpose for these awards were to acknowledge our Pioneers and honor our legends in Country Music, of whom many of them were never honored. The second purpose was to encourage our young, established, and up-and-coming artists to never give up on their dreams. SACMAF gave these artists a platform to help kick off their careers and open more doors for them. We recognize Country Music and other genres such as Afrikaans, Blues, Rock, Southern Rock, Pop, and Instrumentalists.
Over the last 6 years we have honored people such as Sez Adamson, Waldo Lotz, Cindy Alter (from Clout), Caroline du Preez, Jody Wayne, Sally Vaughn, Fanie de Jager, Steve Hofmeyr, Jennifer Zamudio, Dodo, Stef Kruger, Scheppel, John Rock Prophet, Alan Garrity, Steve Ashley, Eugene Havenga and many more well-known artists. Some of SACMAF artists (New and older Generation) were Jason Bradley, Billy Beeby, PG Taboe, Sandy Lee, Caroline Bosch, Jay-Cee Krause, Christo Du Plessis, Will Jordan, Blackie Swart, Tolbos, Pieter Rischmuller (Piet Pompies) Chris Valery, West, Lee Vaughn, Cool The Band, Vernon Muso, Rone, Moonshine Country Blues Band, JJ Stephens, Tommy Gloss, Suzette Jacobs, John Morland, Scallywag, Touch of Class, just to mention a few!
Our highest award is the Jason Bradley Memorial Platinum Award, for the best artist, musician, Vocalist, Producer, composer and songwriter, awarded to Pieter Rischmuller for 2024. Our GOLDEN awards are the Best Overall Artist in SA (Male or Female) inspired by Jennifer Zamudio and awarded to her for 2024, The Africa Music Award for exceptional contribution to music in SA, inspired by Dodo and awarded to him for 2024 and the SA Manager /PRO of the year was awarded to Rindi Maritz for 2024.
